Best Online Application for Stock/Option Trading 
There are many contenders out there. This is to rank the best as far as features, speed, tools, etc.
Resources
OptionsXpress has been around for awhile. A pretty basic set of tools and functionality here.
Caters to more advanced traders. There's a web application as well as a downloadable application. Strong tools but not quite so user friendly.
Another new-comer to the stock/option trading arena. Not much is known about them.
Definitely one of the biggest players out there, but that does not always mean they're the best.
Also been around for a number of years with lots of active customers. But, like E-Trade, this doesn't always mean they have the best feature-set.
With a $9.95 flat-rate fee (regardless of trade size), excellent customer service and an amazingly fresh and cutting-edge web interface, OptionsHouse, though brand new, definitely has a run at being the best.
